JOYA ESCONDIDA
This elegant yet modern Spanish design immediately transports you to a mini oasis. The combination of tile brick and stucco paired with the soft edges and straight lines makes it easy for you to sink into a little piece of paradise.
This project makes use of the following design options:
-
Terracotta and Adobe Materials: Earthy tones and materials that complement a desert environment.
Freeform or Geometric Shapes: Both styles work well in this context, depending on the surrounding architecture.
Cacti and Drought-Resistant Plants: Landscaping is typically low-maintenance with plants that thrive in arid climates.
Water Conservation Features: Pools may include features like covers or desert-friendly designs that reduce evaporation.
-
Description: A shape with two perpendicular sections, forming an "L".
Uses: The shorter leg is often used for a shallow area, while the longer leg can be used for swimming. It can help divide the pool into different functional areas. In this project the shorter leg is used for stairs to maximize the swimming area in the pool.
-
Description: A spa or hot tub connected to the pool, with water spilling over into the pool. This project continues to coping over the water flow to add to the southern esthetic of the design.
Uses: Offers a combined relaxation and swimming experience, with the added benefit of heated water and jets.
